Greenford becomes part of the GBS family in London

Fast-expanding higher education establishment gets ready to open in Greenford this summer

Global Banking School (GBS) is all set to open its brand-new campus in Greenford in London this summer, the latest in its fast-expanding roster of teaching facilities across the country.

GBS offer flexible, quality higher education courses in the fields of banking/finance, healthcare and business management. The organization has taken great care to provide industry-relevant courses that maximise the chances of gaining their dream career, starting a new business or expanding their existing business.

GBS has taken over 68,759 sq ft at 891 Greenford Road, and has spent the past few months transforming it into a modern and welcoming learning facility.

The Greenford campus will allow another 5,000 students to benefit from studying with GBS and comprises a host of well-equipped classrooms and lecture theatres.

Other facilities include cafeteria, student common rooms, study areas, learning resource centre, computer labs, library, multi-faith prayer room and cycle park.

GBS takes pride in its approach to the welfare of its students and its goal to integrate into the communities it establishes in.

In the past two years staff numbers within GBS have grown from 50 to over 300, and the organisation is still actively seeking to fill numerous additional vacancies including teaching and customer service personnel.

The Greenford campus will become GBS’ fifth facility in the UK, alongside the Canary Wharf and Olympic Park campuses in East London, the Universal Square campus in Manchester and the Fazeley Street campus in Birmingham.

Professor Ray Lloyd, Chief Executive of GBS, said: “The opening of the Greenford campus is great news during a time that has been so difficult for the nation, providing jobs for the community and a modern learning facility for our students.

“We firmly believe that GBS is different in that we see our campuses as a part of the neighbourhood they are in, offering employment and study opportunities for the local communities. We want to fully integrate into our surroundings, as well as do what we do best – offer flexible courses for those wanting to take advantage of the opportunities education can bring.

“I am certain our students, neighbours, local community leaders and staff will all find a warm welcome when they set foot inside the Greenford campus.”

The Greenford campus will open fully as soon as Government Covid-19 guidelines allow.

Open Days promise warm welcomes to anyone thinking of a move into Higher Education in London and Leeds

Global Banking School (GBS) is holding two Open Days on August 17th and 19th to encourage people who have never thought about returning to study or further qualifications to take the next brave step.

The Open Day sessions run twice each on August 17th in London and August 19th in Leeds at 10am or 2pm (each session is two hours long).

The sessions on the 17th are at the GBS campus at 891 Greenford Rd, Greenford, London, UB6 0HE. The sessions on the 19th are at the GBS campus in the heart of Leeds; in the former city council building St George House, 40 Great George Street, Leeds, LS1 3DL. Both are free to attend.

If you are thinking about studying, the events are a great opportunity to hear what GBS has on offer.

The events will give potential students the chance to tour the Greenford and Leeds campuses and meet some of the schools’ welcoming staff – they will be on hand throughout the day to offer advice about student support, funding options and the admissions process.

Attendees can gain a greater insight into the degree and diploma courses in Accounting and Finance, Business and Management and Healthcare offered by GBS.

Professor Ray Lloyd, Chief Executive Officer at GBS, said: “GBS prides itself in offering opportunities for all to gain a further qualification that will help boost their career.  We understand that there are lots of barriers to studying if you already have a busy life at work or raising a family and have designed our provision to fit around those busy lives.

“We offer genuinely high-quality Higher Education and our students agree. In the recent National Student Survey 93% of our students said they were satisfied with their course compared to an average of 77% for all universities.”

The team at GBS aims to help students thrive in today’s competitive job market. It provides one-to-one academic, career and pastoral support, offers specialist courses and have excellent links to employers to ensure students can boost their careers.
