At GBS, we are committed to empowering our students with opportunities that inspire and prepare them for successful careers. As part of this mission, we recently welcomed Flight Sergeant Richard Seed from the Royal Air Force (RAF) to our Cam Road campus, where he shared his expertise with over 200 Level 6 students.
Flight Sergeant Seed delivered a captivating session, offering insights into RAF career opportunities, the recruitment process, and the many benefits of joining the organisation. He also provided practical advice on how students could explore roles within the RAF after completing their studies at GBS.
Diane Bray, GBS Dean at Canterbury Christ Church University, reflected on the event’s impact: "Engaging with industry professionals like Flight Sergeant Seed is an invaluable experience for our students - it opens their eyes to career possibilities they may not have considered and equips them with real-world insights. Events like these embody our shared commitment to encouraging student success and confidence in their future pathways."
These sessions play a vital role in broadening students' perspectives, offering unique access to industry leaders, and uncovering career paths beyond traditional routes. By engaging directly with experts, students gain invaluable knowledge to make informed decisions about their futures.
GBS is deeply grateful to Flight Sergeant Seed for his time and expertise, and to the Careers Team for their dedication to creating these impactful opportunities. Together, we continue to build bridges to brighter futures for our students, reinforcing our commitment to their success.
