In celebration of Black History Month, GBS hosted a special Paint & Celebrate workshop led by artist Cam Portland and facilitator Shanae Bedford from Portland N’ Pals.

Cam Portland, whose work has been featured by brands including Adidas, Soho House and Island Records, is known for blending storytelling and art to celebrate culture and community.

Through initiatives like Portland N’ Pals, he continues to make art accessible and inclusive, with beginner-friendly painting workshops that encourage social interaction to allow participants to relax and create their own masterpieces.

 

At our Greenford campus, the workshop earlier this month was filled with colour and energy as participants shared ideas, experimented with paint, and learned how art can express stories of community and culture.

The event reflected one of our core GBS values of cherishing diversity - celebrating Black heritage through shared experiences of creativity.
