Global Banking School (GBS), part of Global Education (GEDU) has been propelling students’ career prospects with a series of successful Careers Fairs held across all GBS campuses between February and May this year.

Students across London, Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds had access to a range of employers from a variety of sectors, providing advice on how they can excel as leaders in their respective fields.

Deputy CEO of GBS, James Kennedy said the Careers Fairs are critical to connect students to future employers who can help them take the next step in their career.

“The Careers Fairs were another huge success, and really help demonstrate what our students can gain from studying with us,” said Mr Kennedy.

He also added: “At GBS, we pride ourselves on connecting students to future employers and giving them real-world experience to ensure they are equipped with the practical skills they need to succeed, and these fairs do just that. The likes of Transport for London and the National Education Union were represented at these events. We were hoping 1000 students would attend. We far exceeded that target and saw over 2000 students attended the fairs across our campuses, which reinforces the demand for these initiatives. We are changing lives through education, and by enabling our students to make meaningful connections directly with industry, we are doing just that.”

The sectors represented were:

  • Education Training & Apprenticeships
  • Health & Social Care
  • Construction Management
  • Business & Tourism
  • Business & Entrepreneurship
  • Accounting & Finance
  • Digital Technology

Employers included:

  • Transport for London
  • Morgan Sindall Property Management
  • National Education Union
  • Capital City Training
  • East London Business Alliance
  • Barclays Bank
