Summary

On Wednesday 3rd June 2020, GBS hosted its first online guest lecture as part of a series of events designed to give GBS students industry insights and expertise for career progression. Dr Steven O’Brien shared top tips for editorial projects and assignments, and provided a brief overview of his own personal higher education experience.

Dr Steven O’Brien, Editor of The London Magazine, the world's oldest journal of the arts and literature (est.1732). He leads the MA and PhD writing programmes at the University of Portsmouth. He is also Secretary General of the G20 Foundation and Trustee of the Patrons of the Vatican Art Treasures. Dr O’Brien is a mythographer, novelist, essayist, critic and poet and holds a PhD from the University of Sussex.
